“This was the first home that I have ever purchased, so of course I was very nervous. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to live outside of town on a few acres for a hobby farm, or if I should stay nearby to my work. Through this entire process Misty has been there to help me understand my goals and to clear up many ill-conceived notions of my own. I knew I needed a fixer upper due to my budget, and she was right on it! Almost immediately giving her the details of what I was looking for, she went to work. Later that week we had checked out multiple listings, all fitting what I had asked of her. We talked a lot about the hidden costs of owning even a small hobby farm. For a young guy trying to start a business, I realized quickly with her guidance that I was way in over my head. So we got together and made a new strategy to find a home to remodel as apposed to a repair job that was in town. We checked out a few more places and I realized that I still wanted a country feel to the home, some place that was close to work but could still offer a rural backdrop. The next day, the current home I live in came on the market. She promptly sent me the details and we looked at it that day. It was a home that needed minor repairs and a remodel, and had a quiet local park with a pond seconds away from the backyard! The sqft was huge for the price, and for the area I know I got a really good deal.
Misty personally is wonderful to work with. Not only is she knowledgeable about the local market, but since she remodels homes as well, her being my agent really was a perfect fit. She was never pushy or forceful, when we went to a few homes that weren’t a good fit, she knew immediately and wasn’t trying to force a sale, I could tell that she honestly wanted what was best for the client. Her background in the variety of properties was very impressive. I know many would not be able to show country properties as well as in town properties, or fixer uppers, yet she could show all of them! Not only do I highly recommend her as an agent, but she is a wonderful person to know. If you are going to use ERA, you need to call Misty!!!” Max M.
