In the summer of 2013, the Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority elected to participate in a site certification program for land they own in the Hi-Tech Business Park in north Sheridan.
The Wyoming Business Council program is a multi-phased certification process to determine if a particular site is “shovel ready” in regard to attracting businesses. SEEDA Administrator Robert Briggs says that they are now in the final phase of the state program.
Briggs said that the advantages of having the business park certified is twofold.
The site selection firm of McCallum Sweeney is the third party firm that is handling the site certification process.
